As the Systems Engineer - Mission Thread Lead you will build relationships across the program and with our national partners to meet all critical program milestones and ensure clean handoffs.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and adjusting the detailed plan coordinating the multiple teams, and to facilitate discussions and problem resolution and issues or gaps are discovered.
What does this role look like?
• Work with IPT Senior Managers and Program Executives to translate the long-range plans into a synchronized execution roadmap
• Develop strong working relationships with the larger systems team, national team members, and customers to ensure successful delivery of each software build
• Integrate with the systems verification and test teams to facilitate a clean handoff of software for testing across multiple sites
• Connect multi-discipline communities to tackle challenges and gaps in development and test
• Establish, manage, and communicate team expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives
• Utilize your excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate and resolve programmatic and technical issues across the program, identify risks, and appropriate mitigation plans
• Collaborate with government and customer representatives in support of critical schedule and distributed multi-element deliveries and activities
• This role does require travel to customer sites, approximately 25%

Basic Qualifications
• Experienced technical lead in systems engineering or another engineering field
• Experience integrating or troubleshooting electrical or hardware-software systems
• Experience with requirements verification and validation
• Active or current Secret Security clearance; US Citizenship Required

• Customer interaction and familiarity with the DoD Labs/Facilities
• Demonstrated understanding and application of Systems Engineering and a Systems Thinking mindset
• Experience working with groups and organizations outside of your immediate product area
• Experience with Software Development
• Experience with Guidance Navigation and Control

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $125,600 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
