Standard Job Description

As the All Up Round (AUR) Architecture and Configuration Manager, you will:
  • Lead a team responsible for the configuration definition and ownership of specialty and tactical AURs from cradle to delivery of the vehicle for its intended end use for Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) and Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) programs along with multiple IRADs
  • Lead the AUR SEIT systems engineering process to include: requirement development, AUR+C drawing tree development, risk management, and AUR+C Acceptance Testing
  • Run the data review process for all data sets generated at the factory, test lines, and specialty configurations. Drive automation solutions into the current process to create efficiency. Identify, implement, and champion Test process improvements
  • Manage the Architecture and Configuration team in a broad range of activities to ensure the technical integrity and successful delivery and fielding of the deployed weapon system.
  • Using Lockheed Martin's technical processes, tools, and validated methodologies participate in the preparation and successful execution of technical reviews in support of capability enhancement and flight test milestones including System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)
  • Apply critical thinking to drive rigorous troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
  • Establish and foster customer relationships to ensure the Architecture and Configuration team addresses customer needs on an LOE contract structure with dynamic priorities and challenging funding profiles
  • Grow leaders and mentor team members to cultivate the next generation of Architecture and Configuration talent

Basic Qualifications

  • Understanding of Engineering and Systems Engineering principles and processes including all phases of the development life cycle from proposal to deployed system support
  • Experience in systems, electrical, mechanical, or other engineering discipline roles
  • Experience in an Engineering role on missile, spacecraft, or related systems
  • Experience with acceptance testing, quality issue resolution, test troubleshooting, and production processes
  • Experience in a technical role on government development programs, or equivalent
  • Eligibility to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher


Desired Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Leadership of technical teams to achieve program level objectives
  • Experience with missile system design, development, production, test, integration, and operation on military host platforms
  • Familiar with all phases of the development life cycle for missile and/or launch vehicle programs and supporting production of missile flight and ground support hardware
  • Familiar with configuration control and quality control tools and systems (EPDM, Q-notes, VRICs, etc)
  • Familiar with systems engineering processes, procedures, and tools
  • Experience contributing to successful completion of Engineering milestone reviews
  • Experience with testbed integration of vehicle/weapon systems, simulators, and support equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations, and resolve complex technical issues and challenges.
  • Ability to establish, manage, and communicate team expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives
  • Demonstrated consistency with high ethical standards and conduct
  • Excellent communication and team building skills
  • Ability to maintain process discipline in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Active or Current DoD Secret security clearance or higher


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
