Standard Job DescriptionWhat We're DoingOur team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.
The WorkThis position is part of the Systems Engineering and Verification (SE&V) team on C2BMC, reporting to the Engineering Manager for Integrated Systems Engineering Services. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership for the system's DTS development including identifying technical issues and coordinating across the C2BMC enterprise to resolve these issues, coordinating with associate contractors developing the sim/stim equipment, reporting status at meetings, and working closely with the test and integration team to provide oversight and direction. In addition, this candidate will work closely with Task Order management to address work scope questions, identify potential improvements, and to help plan for follow-on task orders. The candidate will work closely with the customer addressing questions and concerns.
Please Note:
-This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
-The role may involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S.
Basic Qualifications-A final secret clearance is required
-Strong grasp of systems engineering, design, development, and integration.
-Working knowledge on a program dealing with customer deliverables
-Formal or informal team leadership experience including coaching and giving performance feedback
Desired Skills-Hands on experience with missile defense modeling tools (e.g., OSM, MDST, DESim, EADSim, SSF).
-Background in ballistic missile defense and integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) systems such as C2BMC.
-Proven ability to work across multiple organizations-government customers, contractors, and internal teams-to define and implement solutions.
-Skilled at translating high level needs into a coherent, integrated set of requirements that drive a fielded product.
-Leadership capability: can lead or execute portions of work and mentor other systems engineers.
-Excellent written and oral communication; adept at presenting technical approaches and findings clearly.
-Experience with training system development and implementation, especially for missile defense training and exercises, is a plus.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
