Full Job Description
The Argus II team is looking for a Systems Engineering Lead who will be responsible for the Systems Engineering and Integration & Test (SEIT) team for the program. This individual will lead a group of engineers responsible for systems engineering and test tasks (including system design, documentation, requirements development, and full system testing/requirements verification). The person in this role will be expected to regularly engage with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and Software Lead to ensure seamless delivery of software products following an Agile development cadence. The person in this role will be expected to lead user training events, and design training material. The person in this role will be expected to engage directly with the USG customer. Duties will include but are not limited to: • Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with Program Leadership, the USG customer, and other stakeholders to ensure the system solution is achieved within budget and schedule constraints. • Collaborate with cross functional teams to validate requirements and ensure seamless integration. • Lead/contribute to system design, development, integration, test, and production activities. Including regression test authoring/management/execution. • Lead full system testing after each development cycle. • Be responsible for recruiting, staffing, training, career mentoring, and performance management of individual contributors, building strong teams. • Be a passionate leader, someone who loves a challenge and always rises to the occasion to ensure success of those around them. • Participate in the team's daily standups, testing, and demos The information below includes the standard job description for this position Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT. Basic Qualifications • Experience with requirements development, tracking, and verification testing of systems • Working knowledge of Systems Engineering methods and processes • Experience with creating and delivering compelling presentations • Experience generating system documentation, system workflow diagrams, user workflow diagrams, and user training documentation • Ability to support occasional business travel • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to multi-task and work with multiple teams on different concurrent projects • Active and current TS/SCI clearance. Thus US Citizenship is required Desired Skills • Experience with user engagement and training including producing and updating training material • Experience with Military and/or Government programs • Understanding of LM system engineering processes • Familiarity with use of Confluence and Jira • Familiarity with Agile methodology and processes • Scrum Master experience • Experience working independently and in cross functional or small technical teams • System integration testing experience • Experience in systems engineering lifecycle, development, requirements decomposition, and application of processes and tools • Experience with user workflow design, including requirements gathering and verification Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice #SpaceNSS Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00 The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
