System Engineer provides the business knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products and provide a superior level of technical support that benefits the company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect and evaluate legacy software applications for AI application viability.
- Design and integrate sophisticated computer networks, including LANs, WANs, and data centers, to support AI/ML workloads.
- Ensure interoperability and common technical vision among consortium members.
- Identify optimal high-level architectures and design patterns for complex multi-vendor environments.
- Develop technical risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Lead the design of multi-tier architectures, API, and data standards.
- Conduct network and security assessments, including gap analysis.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including diagrams and design documents.
- Innovate in AI service delivery, automation, and network technology deployment.
- Ensure network infrastructure compliance with global standards.
- Evaluate new products and services, contributing to network architecture development.
- Perform capacity and resource planning in network infrastructure.
- Provide senior-level technical direction and leadership in operational AI applications.
- Develop methods for assessing end-to-end systems performance.
- Act as a senior technical advisor for AI solutions.
- Engage in field visits and technical exchanges with various organizations.
- Represent the JAIC in agency-wide Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
- Ensure functional and performance analysis models align with operational requirements.
Skill Requirements:- Strong knowledge and experience in network capacity planning and network security.
- Proven experience in network design/development, including API and data standards.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with JIE solution architectures, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), Software Defined Networking, TCP/IP, routing, switching, NFV, VDI, Remote Access, Cross Domain Solutions, DevSecOps, and QoS/Traffic Engineering.
Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
