Full Job Description
Everforth ECS is seeking a Systems Engineer - Service Catalog to work in the National Capital Region covering the Pentagon, Falls Church, and Fairfax. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

The War Data Platform (WDP) is a key initiative within the U.S. Department of War's (DoW) AI-First strategy introduced in early 2026. The WDP separates business and financial data from operational warfighting data, aiming to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield. The WDP extends to Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments, and supports collaboration between Combatant Commands, Joint Staff directorates, Senior Executive Service leaders, and operational analysts.

The Systems Engineer - Service Catalog is responsible for engineering, automating, and sustaining the WDP Core Integration Service Catalog framework across all classification tiers . This role applies systems engineering principles to translate complex financial, technical, and operational inputs into accurate, well-governed catalog structures that support enterprise transparency, mission-aligned pricing, and program financial accountability across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments.
• Builds and maintains the War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration Service Catalog framework by engineering catalog structures, automation components, data workflows, and maintenance procedures spanning Unclassified and NIPR, Secret and SIPR, and Top Secret and JWICS environments.
• Designs technical configurations that support daily catalog updates by integrating financial datasets, rate tables, tool inventories, and service line items into automated catalog publishing pipelines.
• Implements catalog logic using web-based service management platforms, configuration repositories, workflow orchestration tools, and data validation scripts to maintain accuracy of WDP Core Integration pricing models for enterprise tools, cloud resources, and mission services.
• Conducts analytic reviews of cost inputs, performance requirements, configuration dependencies, and engineering patterns to refine catalog entries and support government financial decision-making.
• Coordinates with Program Managers, platform engineers, cybersecurity teams, and FinOps analysts to synchronize technical catalog updates with operational cycles, enclave changes, and mission priorities supporting Combatant Commands, Joint Staff elements, Department of Homeland Security stakeholders, and non-government partners.
• Produces and maintains Technical Data Packages, catalog metadata schemas, price lists, and structured repository files for automated publication in web and hardcopy formats.
• Executes daily monitoring of catalog system health using dashboards, logging utilities, audit tools, and configuration baselines to maintain catalog integrity and alignment with Program Management Plan requirements.
• Contributes technical recommendations, design artifacts, operational assessments, and engineering improvements that strengthen catalog reliability, data accuracy, enterprise transparency, and WDP Core Integration program value.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Current Secret security clearance.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, IT service management, or a closely related technical discipline within a federal, defense, or government contracting environment.
• Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and maintaining IT service catalog systems or automated data publishing pipelines, including hands-on proficiency with workflow orchestration tools, configuration repositories, data validation scripting, and web-based service management platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
• Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
