Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to leverage your existing systems engineering and cybersecurity knowledge to lead and perform in depth vulnerability assessments, identify threats and develop mitigations of weapons and space systems under the US Combatant Commands (COCOM's).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DOD systems, utilizing an OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) mindset to perform DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities.
  • Perform long term, in depth vulnerability assessments leveraging systems engineering principals and knowledge, utilizing any available information, including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture.
  • Leverage your interpersonal skills to foster relationship development with our customers to gain additional insights, information, and documentation to improve our ability to accomplish our mission.
  • May serve as a team facilitator in providing technical guidance to technical support, technical writers, and others.
  • Gathers business and product functional and performance requirements.
  • Defines and designs complex and difficult system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.  
  • Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
  • Authors technical whitepapers on approaches to the client's operational needs, and as a basis for future development and proof of concept.  
  • Infrequent travel (CONUS and OCONUS)

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of Systems Engineering experience. Experience may be substituted with education as follows:
    High School Diploma:  + 14 years System Engineering Experience
    Relevant Bachelor's degree: STEM field + 10 years System Engineering
    Relevant Master's degree: STEM field + 8 years System Engineering
  • Strong Systems Engineering expertise
  • Healthy knowledge of cybersecurity / vulnerability assessment process
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Cybersecurity certification (Sec+, CISSP, CEH, etc.)
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160
  • Familiarity with INCOSE defined life cycle systems engineering processes
  • Experience with/ knowledge of large-scale DoD Systems

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
