ResponsibilitiesThe Systems Engineer - Managed File Transfer (MFT) is responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise Managed File Transfer platforms and secure data exchange solutions. This role ensures the reliable, secure, and compliant transfer of data between internal systems, business partners, vendors, and cloud services. The engineer collaborates with infrastructure, application, security, and business teams to design, implement, troubleshoot, and support file transfer integrations and automation solutions. This position requires a high degree of initiative, accountability, and independent judgment in the execution of assigned responsibilities. The incumbent is expected to work with minimal supervision, independently assess and resolve complex technical issues, evaluate alternatives, and make sound decisions that support operational and organizational objectives. This role requires effective prioritization of competing demands, strong time-management skills, and the ability to consistently deliver quality results while meeting established deadlines and service expectations.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAININGRequired qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering.
- 3 years of experience supporting enterprise file transfer or integration platforms.
- Experience with one or more MFT solutions such as IBM Sterling, GoAnywhere, MOVEit, Axway, Cleo, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows server administration.
- Knowledge of encryption technologies, SSL/TLS certificates, PGP, SSH keys, and secure communication protocols.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
- Open to travelling up to 50% of the time.
Preferred qualifications:- Certification in any one of the MFT Solutions.
