Job Description

You will be the Systems Engineer for the Capability Integration Strategy Team which is responsible for driving integrated capability delivery across the Architecture Design Integration and Test Organization (ADI&T).

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Engineering you will be responsible for shaping the technical roadmap, ensuring functional integration, governing releases, resolving anomalies, and delivering actionable data metrics.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and management of the technical roadmap and integrated JIRA backlog to align portfolio strategy with execution.
  • Design and execute functional integration plans that validate capabilities across segments, domains, and operational scenarios.
  • Establish and govern capability release processes, authoring System Release Memoranda and confirming compliance with technical and quality thresholds.
  • Oversee end-to-end anomaly resolution, assessing impact, prioritizing fixes, and maintaining delivery cadence.
  • Create and maintain integrated data metrics to monitor engineering execution and product performance.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's or master's in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, Technical Program Management, or a related discipline in an Agile/DevSecOps development environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve complex system issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges within a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the full system life cycle (requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment) and how to adapt traditional engineering processes to an iterative, continuous improvement model.
• Experience defining and documenting system requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and development teams.
• Technical proficiency in relevant domains such as software development, network configuration, and hardware/software integration environments.
• Technical Writing: Authored and edited comprehensive technical documentation. Expertise in simplifying complex technical information for diverse audiences.
• Presentation & Public Speaking: Expert in developing and delivering high-impact PowerPoint presentations and public speeches to stakeholders and large audiences.
• Project Management & Coordination: Managed and coordinated cross-functional project teams to ensure project milestones were achieved on time and within budget.
• Planning & Scheduling: Developed comprehensive project plans and schedules, allocating resources effectively and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Data & Analytics: Proficient in data analysis, data architecture, and data presentation, leveraging various tools to drive informed decision-making and optimize project outcomes.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,300 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
