Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

UCF IT is seeking to a Systems Engineer III to join the team! The Systems Engineer III is a mid-to-senior level role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise systems that support infrastructure and security. This position requires moderate to extensive experience with Microsoft Intune, moderate or better experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Group Policy, experience or willingness to learn Citrix or JAMF, and the ability to architect and implement solutions for customers. The Systems Engineer III will maintain secure configuration baselines, remediate vulnerabilities, and assist with Tier 3 support tickets.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain infrastructure and applications for performance and security.
  • Configure and manage Intune, MECM, and Group Policy for compliance and device management.
  • Manage and maintain file servers, print servers, and license servers.
  • Monitor systems and remediate vulnerabilities to maintain security posture.
  • Ensure secure configuration baselines are verified and enforced.
  • Citrix administration for virtual applications and virtual machines.
  • JAMF administration to maintain secure configuration baselines, patching, and identity management for macOS devices.
  • Partner with stakeholders to engineer solutions that align with organizational goals. Provide Tier 3 support for complex technical issues. Mentor junior staff and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Design and implement systems and applications to meet business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures. Assist in developing policies and standards for secure operations.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Moderate to extensive experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Jamf, and Citrix.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience providing Tier 3 support for complex technical issues.
  • Solid understanding of Group Policy design and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience implementing security hardening standards (CIS benchmarks, NIST guidelines).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and mentor junior staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, -Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Citrix Certified Associate (CCA), or Jamf Certified Tech.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,809 to $94,761. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
