Systems Engineer IIJOB DESCRIPTION You will join a multi-skilled System Engineering Team responsible for the company's data, voice, server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing Tier-3 support across the Brazil, Singapore, UK, and US regions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Cisco switch, router, and voice networks.
- Use of Change Management processes to plan and schedule upgrades and other changes.
- Configuration of Cisco routing and switching equipment.
- Configuration of Cisco Voice Infrastructure (CUCM, etc.).
- Configuration of servers and SAN equipment.
- Configuration and administration of VMware vSphere environments.
- Configuration and administration of Cisco firewalls to support corporate policy.
- Provide after-hours support.
- Vessel visits required for maintenance, troubleshooting etc. (rare)
QUALIFICATIONS- 5yrs hands on experience.
- MSCE, CCNA (desirable)
- Extensive knowledge or all IT fundamentals (OSI model, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Extensive knowledge of servers, AD, Exchange, Cisco R & S, security and voice.
- VSAT knowledge a plus (from customer standpoint not provider).
- Will be required to travel (land, sea and air) to attend offices or vessels (infrequent)
- Strong service and communications skills.
- Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills.
- Some proficiency in managing 3rd party relationships.
