Position Description:Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks.
The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
Education Requirements:Bachelors degree in STEM related field, or equivalent experience/combined education
Experience Requirements:- 3+ years of experience
- An active DoD Final Secret Security Clearance is required
- Bachelors degree in STEM related field, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Master's degree
- Knowledge of systems engineering standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
- Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Able to work under very general supervision where work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy
- Ability to contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects where failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources
- Ability to work with internal company contacts and with inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters
- Able to support up to 10% travel
Special Skills Desired:- Prior experience working on Missile Defense programs
- Systems modeling language behavioral and functional modeling
- Proficient in the usage and application of MATLAB or Python or C++, or similar programming language
- Technical planning experience
- Algorithm definition/development
- Formal requirements testing experience
- Mechanical or electrical design experience using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Visio
- Data analysis and automated testing/scripting knowledge
- System analysis and/or integration
- Requirements development and decomposition
- Verification & validation experience
- System design, modeling & simulation
- Experience using DOORS System Software
- Experience using systems architecture tools such as Cameo or Rhapsody
- Interpreting system drawings and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of Agile terminology and best practices
