Full Job Description
The Aerospace Corporation is hiring aSystems Engineer for Portfolio Integration for the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED).  This is an onsite opportunity in El Segundo, CA. The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a wide-ranging and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.  As part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS), the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects. PAD integrates expertise, system analysis and design capabilities from across the corporation. To meet the increasing demand for our support, we are looking for an experienced Enterprise Systems Engineer to contribute to a variety of defense, intelligence community, and civil government customers.  This position will be required to work full-time on-site at Aerospace’s El Segundo, CA location.  What You’ll Be Doing  Strategic Impact  • Provide support to enterprise architecture, system-of-systems engineering, and strategic planning that shapes portfolio-level missions and future landscapes  • Develop portfolio and enterprise-level models and roadmaps that enable stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions on complex, cross-organizational challenges  • Support the bridge between government organizations, internal strategic initiatives, and commercial partners to create cohesive solutions to enterprise-level problems  • Challenge the status quo and pioneer innovative approaches to mission-critical problems  Technical Excellence • Contribute tohigh-impact studies designed to solve complex technical challenges and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership and customers • Providesystemsengineering supportin portfolio management, digital engineering, andsystem-of-systems engineering across defense, intelligence, and civil government domains • Identifyand develop new capabilities and enhancements that advance customer programs and architectures • Work closely withAerospace's technical backplane to deliver tailored, cutting-edgesolutions for customer-specific use cases Collaboration & Influence • Work closely with Aerospace program office personnel and government customers to execute strategic projects • Provide ongoing technical consultation and strategic advice toprogram office,government, and contractors • Occasional travel may berequired What You Need to be Successful  MinimumRequirements for the Senior Member of the Technical Staff– Enterprise Systems Engineering • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline • Typically,4 years of increasingly responsible experience in systems engineering or other space-related engineering disciplines  • Experience in systems engineering, enterprise systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, and/or digital engineering • Familiarwith MBSE modeling languages such as System Modeling Language (SysML) and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and SparX Enterprise Architecture  • Experience with architecture frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)  • Take initiative,haveflexibility,and be ableto work in a fast-paced environment  • Excellentinterpersonal skills andwell adept at oral and written communication • Excellenttime managementand organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects • Available and willing to travel domestically,approx. 5-10% • ActiveTS//SCI security clearance How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if youhaveone or more of these: • Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline • Experienceand familiarityin the systems engineering life cycle  • Experience in strategicroadmapping, integrated planning, and/orintegrated master schedules • Experience withDoD systems engineering and programmatic processes, methods, tools, and personnel  • Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost,scheduleand risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development • Experience with and/or working knowledge of the Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) span of technical capabilities and organizational construct • Experience briefing senior Government leaders (General Officer and/or SES/SIS) We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
