Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer with a focus on Microsoft cloud technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services using Microsoft Azure. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services and cloud computing.

As a Systems Engineer your responsibilities will include:
• Design, implement, and manage Azure-based solutions to meet business requirements
• Deploy and maintain Azure resources, including but not limited to virtual machines, storage accounts, networking components, manually and through automated deployment pipelines.
• Automate cloud operations using scripting and DevOps tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bicep
• Assist with the architectural design, planning, and deployment of technologies
• Act as an infrastructure subject matter expert in projects working with cross-functional teams
• Research on potential technology solutions and make recommendations on best solutions to meet business requirements and operational needs
• Monitor and optimize the performance, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructure
• Follow change management processes, including the creation and review of change requests
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
• Administer backup and recovery services
• Leverage AI-driven monitoring and analytics to improve infrastructure performance, reliability, and capacity planning.
• Develop and maintain AI-enabled automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and operational standards to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Evaluate and govern the secure adoption of AI technologies, ensuring compliance, security, and cost-effective operations.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
• Troubleshoot system behavior anomalies, determine root cause, and the appropriate technical resolution
• Provide level 3 incident support
• Provide operational activities when required after-hours and on weekends
• Other relevant duties as assigned and required

To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $87,300-$113,520 in Toronto. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
