Job SummaryWe are seeking a
Systems Engineer III to join our Medical Device team and play a key role in the development of innovative healthcare technologies. This position is responsible for leading systems engineering activities across the product lifecycle, ensuring complex medical device systems are effectively designed, integrated, verified, and optimized to meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
The successful candidate will apply advanced systems engineering principles to analyze requirements, evaluate system performance, manage technical risks, and develop robust solutions for multidisciplinary projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this individual will balance technical, operational, and business considerations while driving system-level decision making and ensuring all aspects of the product are integrated into a cohesive solution.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing product strategy, and contributing to the development of life-changing medical technologies.
Responsibilities - Performs advanced systems engineering research and analysis. Conducts quality control review, data reporting, and writes/reviews technical documents.
- Plans, develops, designs, and manages holistic systems solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Tailors and applies systems engineering techniques and processes to meet project objectives within constraints.
- Balances systems thinking and systems engineering best practices over the full range of technology maturity levels.
- Analyzes requirements and system performance.
- Applies systems engineering expertise to define cost/benefit and risk/opportunity, develop and analyze alternatives, support decisions, and mitigate risks.
- Ensures all project or system aspects are considered in totality and integrated.
Key Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in related field with 5 years of experience or master's degree in related field with 2 years of experience or PhD; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
Compensation Data Battelle is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $105,600 - $150,500 per year, in addition to our comprehensive benefits package. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location and market conditions.
