This
Systems Engineer position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the reliability, performance, and availability of enterprise network, server, and virtualization environments in a secure federal setting. The role supports Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere/Horizon, and network monitoring tools while troubleshooting system issues, responding to alerts, and delivering exceptional customer support. Candidates should have extensive experience with Windows and VMware technologies, a Top Secret clearance, and a strong ability to implement and support IT infrastructure solutions both on-premises and in cloud environments.
What you'll do:- Evaluate, maintain, and improve network reliability, availability and performance
- Maintain and respond to alerts from network monitoring tools such as InterMapper, ManageEngine, and vROPS
- Work with server and virtualization infrastructure and technologies.
- Interface with customers to resolve system related issues while providing world class IT and customer service.
What you'll need to succeed:- An active Top-Secret security clearance and the ability to commute to work at our customer site in Arlington, VA.
- 6 years of experience provisioning, installing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server and VMware
- 6 years of experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory domains, VDI, VMware vSphere, and VMware Horizon.
- Experience using system monitoring tools such as InterMapper and vROPS (ManageEngine experience a plus).
- An understanding of working in a secure federal environment and a strong willingness to learn new technology and grow your expertise.
- Technical certifications: MCSE, VCP, Security+ or equivalent
SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $95,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
