In this role you will be responsible for computer assisted surgical system design including design inputs, risk management, verification and validation, research and development in Robotic platform solutions. How You'll Create Impact
- You will be responsibilities for the Design & Development Plan, Risk Management Plan, Verification & Validation (V&V) Plans and usability engineering activities;
- You will define User Needs, Design Inputs, act as leader for V&V activities.
- You will need to be able to structure development activities, identify project risks and define critical pathways up to product release.
- You will support product related post market engineering (sustaining activities) :
• Change management: to analyze the change and collaborate with the R&D and Servicing teams if there are activities to be performed.
• Manage the cadence of changes.
• Projects Design Transfer
- In an agile setting, will be responsible for the following; identify impediments and promote changes for continuous improvement.
- You will train and coach other Team Members or groups.
What Makes You Stand Out
• Ability to define system requirements based on a theoretical approach
• Strong experience in system design in a multi-disciplinary organization
• Strong analytical skills and accurate judgment making skills
• Strong experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated to products
• High level of leadership and ability to work with cross functional teams
• Able to support a surgery independently, lead formative/summative evaluations, and support surgeon training
• Bilingual written and spoken (French and English)
Your Background
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science related field (biomedical engineering is an asset)
• Experience in product development and release from early prototyping to final product release
• 8+ years of experience working in a highly regulated industry (i.e. aeronautical, medical).
