Full Job Description
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Systems Business Analyst Sr to join our Capital Partners Technology Team.

The Systems Business Analyst acts as a liaison between Capital Partners' Systems and Capital Partners business groups. The individual is responsible for defining and documenting business needs and functional requirements and ensuring technology solutions enhance and support the business operations. The individual also identifies technology alternatives and recommends system solutions to business and technical audiences. The Systems Business Analyst participates in all phases of the systems development life cycle, with a focus on strategic initiatives

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop clear, concise methodology documents, which requires proficiency in interviewing skills, workflow analysis, dataflow diagramming, screen design, etc.
  • Review and assist in development of project plans, project workflows and resource assignments as requested by Project Manager.
  • Facilitate the definition of functional requirements by working with programmer analysts and users in prototyping and design sessions.
  • Translate and present project concepts into effective visual images which clarify design elements and issues for both business and technical audiences
  • Manage distinct efforts either via waterfall or more iterative development process as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Ensure methodology is followed for efforts and overall projects; provide meaningful feedback in accordance with departmental standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain issue log; coordinate and support communications surrounding both systems and user acceptance for assigned effort(s).
  • Identify, mediate, resolve and eliminate miscommunications between business and technical project team members.
  • Conduct user training.
  • Use SQL or reporting/BI tools (such as Qlik Sense) to perform data analysis, validate report requirements and confirm test results.
  • Participate in development of test strategy, test plans and test cases
  • Translate system workflows into system configuration
  • Participate in test execution and document results


Experience
  • 5-7 years' experience at a financial services company - preferably with Private Banking and/or Investment Management experience
  • 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Working directly with business counterparts to clarify their requests, translate them to workable functional requirements, and coordinate acceptance testing
  • Working directly with development teams to describe requirements, answer questions, and perform integration/QA testing
  • Proven business analysis skills, including business requirements, product proposals and business and technical workflows
  • Ability to analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
  • Professional communication skills
  • Able to use standard desktop tools effectively, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use wide range of office software, such as more advanced Excel techniques, PowerPoint presentations, etc.

Salary Range

$100,000- $150,000 Base Salary + Annual Target Bonus
