Position Description

The Systems & Controls Manager is responsible for managing all Systems & Controls operations projects across multiple customer sites within a region. This role is responsible for managing all Systems & Controls project activities, including scoping & supporting bids, project planning, resourcing, cost, schedule, quality & risk management, and reporting with a high emphasis towards customer satisfaction. The Systems & Controls Manager directly manages the field controls technicians, and provides a hands-on leadership driving strategic clarity, informed decision-making, and actions to deliver high performance to baseline commitments. This role also collaborates with cross-functional teams to support operational goals and meet customer requirements across multiple projects and sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee operations across a team of field technicians across regions, projects, and sites, while sustaining a high quality, service level and customer satisfaction to resource and deliver complexed projects
  • Manage and mentor field technicians, providing support, resources, and direction for their teams and projects.
  • Conduct regular site and project reviews with field technicians to monitor performance, address any challenges, and implement process improvements.
  • Align with leadership on resourcing, project timelines, and strategy to ensure consistency in operational delivery.
  • Serve as regional point of contact for customer escalations, maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in strategy development to enable delivery of all aspect of Controls projects.


Required Education & Qualifications

  • Experience.
    • 10+ years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role and at least 3 years in datacenter controls, BAS & EPMS , with a focus on critical cooling controls.
    • Prior experience delivering data center projects at large-scale datacenter facilities for major technology clients is highly preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing in-field site operations across multiple sites, and projects specific to data center controls installations.
  • Skills.
    • Strong program management skills in planning, scheduling, cost and risk management with ability to address scope variations
    • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations.
    • Proven track record of understanding critical cooling infrastructure such as Air-Cooled, Water-Cooled Chillers and CRAH's.
    • Professional certifications in Tridium Niagara, a PMI PMP or CAPM certification is also preferred
    • Experience with controls tools in Carel, Distech, Delta, Siemens or ALC strongly recommended
    • In-depth operating knowledge of building code & OSHA safety standards

Education Requirements:
