Full Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join a team providing daily maintenance, technical support, and infrastructure upgrades for the Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC) in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position supports the MDA by ensuring the reliable operation, security, and modernization of mission-critical voice and data infrastructure at Redstone Arsenal.

As a Systems Administrator, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Perform daily system administration activities, including maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for network infrastructure.
  • Oversee and manage voice and data infrastructure upgrades to improve system performance, capacity, and reliability.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support virtual and physical servers, network devices, and associated hardware and software.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security requirements for mission-critical systems.
  • Configure and maintain the Common Access Card (CAC) infrastructure using Axway Validation Authority for secure user authentication.
  • Manage RSA Token authentication for classified network access.
  • Perform system patching using Ivanti and ensure compliance with security updates and vulnerability remediation requirements.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate monitoring of critical services and improve system availability.
  • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide technical support to end users and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Support technology refresh initiatives, system modernization efforts, and future infrastructure upgrades.


Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of related systems administration experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience administering virtual and physical server environments across multiple locations.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Common Access Card (CAC) infrastructure utilizing Axway Validation Authority.
  • Experience managing RSA Token authentication for classified environments.
  • Experience utilizing Ivanti for system patch management and security compliance.
  • Experience developing PowerShell scripts to automate system monitoring and improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and systems administration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Experience supporting secure, mission-critical enterprise network environments.
  • Knowledge of voice and data infrastructure modernization and technology refresh initiatives.


Schedule: Fulltime, Mon-Fri.

Work Location: Onsite - Customer Site, Huntsville, AL
