This mid-level technical position is responsible for managing, optimizing, and automating key infrastructure platforms with a strong emphasis on Identity and Access Management (IAM). The role requires deep problem-solving skills, the ability to operate autonomously, and expertise in Python, Ansible, and modern CI/CD automation practices.

As an EMS System Administrator, you will ensure the high availability, secure configuration, and reliable performance of core security systems including Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, RSA SecurID, and LDAP services. You will also support incident response for critical outages, manage secondary infrastructure tools, and lead efforts to reverse-engineer and document complex, undocumented enterprise environments. Through proactive modernization and automation, you will strengthen operational resilience and contribute directly to the evolution of a smarter, more efficient IT future.

Education: Bachelor's Degree. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Clearance: Minimum of an active Secret security clearance.

Certification(s): DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)

Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration, including at least 2-3 years of direct experience managing Linux environments, IAM/NAC tools, and enterprise automation.
Technical Requirements:
• Demonstrated proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and configuration management (Ansible).
• Direct experience managing high-availability identity, access, or network access control tools (ISE, ClearPass, RSA, LDAP).
• Exceptional critical thinking skills with a proven ability to work independently in environments with limited existing documentation or mentorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience operating within Department of War (DoW) STIG compliance and IL5 framework guidelines.
• Direct experience with InfoBlox and GitLab administration.
• Prior experience reverse-engineering undocumented infrastructure deployments.
