Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. As aSystems Administrator III,you will play a crucial role in managing our technology infrastructure, particularly focusing on M365 collaboration services, data architecture, and supporting security operations with file and permissions management in our Microsoft tenant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Work with the infrastructure team to assist with infrastructure management, including servers, switches, firewalls, and Windows servers.
  • Administer the entire Microsoft 365 suite of applications, with a specific focus on collaboration services.
  • Manage AzureAD, SAML integrations, and optimize utilization of all capabilities within the M365 sphere
  • Design, implement, and optimize data architecture to ensure efficient and secure storage and retrieval of data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective data management strategies.
  • Assist security operations by managing file and permissions within the Microsoft tenant, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
  • Implement security measures and best practices to protect the organization's data and systems from unauthorized access and potential threats.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve system administration processes and enhance overall system performance.

REQURED

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience on a year for year basis also considered. Certifications are a plus.
  • 6+ yrs in systems administration, with a focus on managing technology infrastructure and Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
  • Strong knowledge of M365 collaboration services, including SharePoint, Teams, including Voice, and OneDrive.
  • Proficiency in data architecture principles
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, servers, storage, Windows servers, and M365 suite.
  • In-depth understanding of security principles and practices, particularly related to file and permissions management in Microsoft tenant.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and experience working in an IT service management framework.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
