Full Job Description
We are seeking toadd a Systems Administrator II, Infrastructure Operations. This roleis responsible for the administration, operation, and reliability of the Company's core IT infrastructure services. This role focuses on virtualization platforms, enterprise storage systems, backup and disaster recovery operations, and user lifecycle and access administration in support of business continuity, operational reliability, and regulatory compliance. The position contributes to the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of on-premises and hybrid infrastructure environments and serves as a primary operational owner for assigned systems.

Core Responsibilities

Enterprise Storage Systems
  • Serves as the primary operational owner of the Company's enterprise storage platforms, including configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Performs storage lifecycle management activities, including firmware upgrades, controller maintenance, and coordination of vendor support as required.

Backup, Archival, and Disaster Recovery
  • Administers and maintains enterprise backup, archival, and recovery systems to ensure required data and systems are protected in accordance with Company SOPs.
  • Supports multiple tiers of backup and archival storage, including on-premises systems and cloud-based backup solutions.

Directory, Email, and Access Administration
  • Manages user lifecycle and access administration, including account provisioning, deprovisioning, group management, and permission assignments across directory and email systems.
  • Administers email services, including mailbox configuration, mail flow settings, and management of distribution and security groups.

Virtualization & Computer Infrastructure
  • Administers and maintains the Company's virtualization platforms, including host and cluster configuration, patching, upgrades, licensing, and day-to-day operational support.
  • Designs, builds, and supports virtualization clusters as required.

Monitoring, Incident Response, and Operations
  • Utilizes monitoring and alerting tools to track system health, performance, and availability across assigned infrastructure services.
  • Responds to and resolves infrastructure incidents related to assigned systems, escalating issues as appropriate.

Core Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field of study and, typically, 2+ years of experience administering enterprise IT infrastructure in a production environment, including virtualization, storage, backup, and recovery systems. Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered.
  • Experience supporting directory services, email platforms, and user access administration in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments is preferred.
