Full Job Description
We are seeking qualified, talented personnel to join their new team in a dynamic, client-focused environment. The environment consists of supporting 7 classified and unclassified networks of approximately 150 end-users, 50 physical and virtual Windows Servers, 10 physical and virtual Linux Servers, 500 Desktop Operating Systems, 40 network switches, and 15 printers across 4 facilities.

Essential Responsibilities

Perform Systems Administration duties such as:
• Installing and configuring software and hardware
• Managing network servers and technology tools
• Setting up accounts, workstations and servers
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages under the guidance of the Government IT Lead
• Ensure security through access controls, auditing and firewalls
• Participate in upgrading systems with new releases and models
• Help to specify system requirements and design solutions
• Research and make recommendations on server system administration
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies as they emerge
• Ensure documentation is in place and accurate

Perform Network Administration duties such as:
• Supporting, configuring, maintaining and upgrading networks and in house servers
• Install and integrate new server hardware and applications while keeping an eye out for needed updates
• Support and administer third-party applications, and ensure network security and connectivity
• Perform monitoring network performance and testing for weaknesses
• Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
• Assist the Government IT Lead in Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) resolving problems reported by end user
• Help define network policies and procedures

Required skills and experience:
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years' experience with 2+ years working in a TS processing environment
• Working knowledge of layer 2 and 3 network principles
• Knowledge of PowerShell and WMI ArcServe backup software support and configuration
• Experience with maintaining on-site server hardware & software
• Experience configuring and implementing Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
• Experience working with Active Directory
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS commands to configure network equipment and troubleshoot issues
• Sound knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter, and related technologies
• Minimum DoD 8140 IAT-II (Sec+ CE) certification required
• Required to meet and maintain compliance with DoD 8140. This typically includes holding a baseline qualification certificate (e.g., Security+ or equivalent) appropriate to their primary IT role.

Operational environment relies heavily on specific Computing Environments (CE), which traditionally require role-specific CE certifications (CCNA for Network Administrator).
