Responsibilities

  • Assist in resolving outages or incidents according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT for support and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
  • Support departments with technical initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Facilitate training and update training materials as needed.
  • Lead or participate in special projects.
  • Provide on-call support for the Seattle Division, requiring 24x7 availability.

Position Purpose:

The System Support Supervisor position reports to the Distribution Center System Support Manager. This role will require performing technical support, system administration, Manhattan waving, and transportation routing for all areas of the Distribution Center. The role will include providing first and second level technical support to all Distribution Center departments (including: Warehousing, Transportation, Procurement, Accounting, HR etc.) within the Seattle Division. This position will perform mission critical Manhattan waving and Transportation routing to keep the Distribution Center operating. The role will require strong technical and operational acumen to understand the business and ensure the business is running at peak efficiency. This position will contribute to the overall goals of Supply Chain by maintaining the integrity and viability of all technical and application solutions employed within a Distribution Center and local Manufacturing plants as applicable. In compliance with Supply Chain and IT standards in collaboration with Supply Chain Services and Information Technology with managing overall departmental expenditures.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform distribution center Manhattan Waving and transportation routing.
  • Facilitates the support of technical services and system applications deployed within the Distribution Center.
  • Provides in-depth system analysis to identify risks, develop solutions, enhancements or alternative methods of processing and/or gathering data.
  • Involved in the resolution of outages or incidents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT to support and maintenance of all IT Hardware, Software, Networks, Servers, etc. as well as end user assistance.
  • Support departments for any technical initiatives to help improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Facilitates training and assists in the development of and updates to training material required.
  • Participate / Lead Special Projects.
  • Support for all of Seattle Division which will require on-call 24x7 availability.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred, or related field experience.
  • 4 plus years' experience in application support and/or computer operations.
  • 4 plus years' experience in Supply Chain (Procurement, Warehousing, Transportation, Manufacturing).
  • Possess solid knowledge of information technology (hardware & software) solutions & tools.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes and applications (e.g. Warehousing, Transportation, Routing, Procurement, Accounting, HR etc.). Especially complex propriety systems (Manhattan,Order Management, SSIMS, ect.)
  • Possess good understanding of core Distribution operations to facilitate recovery procedures for all job processing, network or hardware failures.
  • Possess excellent skills with Windows applications including: Word, Access, Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Possess good communications skills, both verbal and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone.
  • Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe and thorough completion of work activities.
  • Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.


PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work typically performed in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Sits, stands or walks for extended periods of time.
  • Bending, stooping and twisting required periodically.
  • Spends long periods of time at desk or computer terminal

Pay Transparency:

Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).
