System Integration Engineer II - PRD144 Duties and Responsibilities to be performed by the consultant < ul>
Define and implement strategies and technology that ensure the seamless integration of data, applications, and system interfaces to support business solutions Work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution Design, develop, enhance, and support client- and internal-facing applications and technology solutions that help drive NYS strategic initiatives Analyze existing applications and source code to develop application interfaces, system workflows, and technical solutions that align with business needs Use multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations Produce documentation, business process or system flows, and business rules Arrange programming sequence by analyzing source code, and preparing workflows charts and diagrams using technical capabilities, programming language, and logic Produce data mapping and specifications related to data structures Produce work products and deliver artifacts in line with business needs and project plan As part of the application support lifecycle, address defects and enhancements Participate in incident resolution post-implementation, as required Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Understand and adhere to project timelines and priorities Other duties as assigned Consultants may be eligible to telecommute for more than 50% of their work hours, up to and including 100% remote work. Telecommuting arrangements require direct manager approval and are subject to change based on program needs. Consultants approved for 100% remote work must attend monthly in-person meetings at the Albany office and be available for major milestone meetings as needed.
Mandatory Qualifications - Level II- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a System Integration Engineer
- More than fifteen (15) years of experience implementing a variety of technologies and frameworks to achieve project goals, adapting to new tools as necessary, with hands-on experience in full stack development using J2EE, Spring boot, Java, C#, .Net Framework, .Net Core, or similar modern Object-Oriented Programming language, Web Services, Database, or Web Application Development.
- More than ten (10) years of experience in analyzing and debugging SQL queries, stored procedures (i.e., PL/SQL code), and working with data in relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
Desirable Qualifications - More than five (5) years of experience developing and supporting enterprise web applications using Java EE, .NET Core/.NET 6/.NET 8, JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS, Node.js, jQuery), Oracle and SQL Server databases, and DevSecOps (i.e., Azure DevOps, Git, SonarQube)/CI/CD tools and practices.
- Six months to a year of experience working on an Integrated Eligibility System program within a Health and Human Services domain.
- More than five years of experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated/unit testing frameworks.
