PM Mission Command - System Engineer/Integrator

Hawaii

Brown Technologies is currently seeking a System Engineer/Integrator who is a self-starter supporting PM Mission Command.

DESCRIPTION: Candidate will work with stakeholders including Product Managers of various Army PEO systems, lead engineers, and developer teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Candidate will work to integrate the Tactical Data Platform (TDP) and multiple other Army warfighting systems to achieve end-to-end data management and interoperability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements.
  • Study and describe the infrastructure required for optimal pulling, pushing, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, XML and other technologies.
  • Keep data secure using industry standards and strategies for security.
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative data design.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
  • Provide key leaders detailed analysis of issues with recommended solutions; provide technical reports.
  • Work in field and lab Agile software development environments that are highly stressful and rapidly changing.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
  • Microsoft and Cisco certification are favorable.
  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Information Management Systems, or similar) required.
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering or 5+ years of experience a Systems Engineer or Systems Integrator preferred.
  • Active Duty or National Guard service in the US Army with expertise in Command Post operations highly desirable.
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance


Preferred:
  • Experience with US Army Common Operating Environment (COE) initiatives and the PEO C3T and PM MC portfolio of fielded systems preferred.
  • Experience integrating military C4 systems; especially GCCS-J/A, DDS, and ABCS Staff Functional systems.
  • Familiar with CPCE capabilities and coalition standards, such as MIP and NFF/I.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data to identify opportunities for improvement during Agile Software development.
  • Possesses understanding of Virtualization Infrastructure and MS Enterprise Service; such as vSphere, Storage Arrays/Datastores, Domain Controllers, SQL, Exchange, and Share Point (HTML, HTTP/S, XML).
  • Knowledge and experience working military messaging, such as VMF and USMTF, as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases and stores for processing message types.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Program or Product Office as an engineer or integrator with a detailed understanding of Army, Joint and Coalition Interoperability.
  • Strong understating of Simulation Systems and Strategic, Tactical and Local Area Networking with experience to troubleshoot and pin point areas of concern.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
  • Self-driven with little supervision, coordinate internally and externally as required to meet mission goals.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with DoD practices.
  • Experience with risk management is preferred.
