  • Assess system capabilities and recommend technical solutions for gaps identified.
  • Create program status reports including technical and risk assessments.
  • Maintain tracking tools for installation activities across various submarine classes.

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified System Engineer III.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Imaging Business Area has an immediate opening for a SystemEngineers with knowledge of US NAVY Non-Propulsion Electronic System (NPES) forImaging and/or EW systems. This person will be responsible for various aspectsof the system.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Developand review Technical Data Packages for system and subsystem componentsincluding Special Support Equipment (SSE).
  • Performand present various analysis to include performance and failure analysis ofsystem components.
  • Collectand assess technical data associated with Technical Insertions of NEWCON,Modernization's and TEMPALTs' for obsolescence and diminishing material.
  • Providetechnical support and repair for EW and Imaging Systems and components viaremote support from NUWCDIVNPT and/or on-site platform support.
  • Assesscurrent system capabilities against current and near-term needs and providetechnical recommendations to resolve gaps by evaluating and resolving systemfailure reports, obsolescence and material support issues, and other inputsfrom the Fleet
  • Developprogram status reports such as technical assessments, risk assessments,technical recommendations, or technical information
  • Knowledgeof and experience with AN/BVY-1(V) (various classes) Imaging systems a plus.
  • Maintainand distribute various tracking tools in support of NUWC's Installationactivities associated with on-going availabilities for all classes ofsubmarines.
  • Opportunitiesfor travel to provide technical support for various installation activities....
  • Idealcandidate should have knowledge of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP's) andEngineering Change Instructions (ECI's) as they relate to the Submarine Imagingsystems/Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and performance of necessarymaintenance, test, repair, modification, and updating of shipboard equipmentand components per GFI drawings as called out in the ECP/ECI's.
  • The idealcandidate is expected to be able to familiarize themselves with all Imagingsystem hardware including understanding commonality between the varioussystems.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor'sdegree in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, etc.)preferred, will consider a BS in STEM fields with sufficient direct EngineeringExperience. In lieu of a degree, candidates with significant, demonstrated experienceoperating DoD Electronic warfare, Imaging and/or Radar systems (especially Navyand Submarine specific equipment) will be strongly considered.

Experience: 7 years of experience.

Required Experience:
  • Experience and knowledge associated with ME functions related to design,troubleshooting, analysis, reporting, and/or testing of complex systems
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar; VISIO orsimilar engineering-oriented documentation applications is a plus.
  • Previous experience in operating, maintaining, or engineering/engineeringsupport of the following systems is highly desired
  • AN/BLQ-10 ElectronicWarfare System and Early Warning Receiver
  • Operating and maintainingImaging Systems such as ISIS, Type 8/18 Periscopes, Photonics Masts, etc.
  • Detection processing,tracking algorithms, and common ARPA functions
  • Experience in Environmental Qualification and Survivability (e.g. Shock,Vibration, temperature, flooding/moisture vulnerability testing) of shipboardand land-based militarized and commercial-grade Combat Systems components.
