Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Naval Enterprise Network (NEN), Portfolio Acquisition Executive Mission Systems, Compute & Store program team. In this role, the Systems Engineer will support Assistant Program Manager-Engineering (APM-E) stakeholders by contributing to systems engineering planning, integrating engineering management and technical processes across Program Office teams, and conducting engineering analysis across the program office portfolio. The Systems Engineer will also help ensure the quality and technical accuracy of key deliverables, including the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and other engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Participate with the Government program Engineering Teams during Systems Engineering (SE) Team, Agile Scrum meetings and generate meeting minutes.
  • Perform planning and execution of systems engineering technical reviews (SETR) events and tracking the completion of action items.
  • Provide systems engineering rigor for a DoD acquisition program.
  • Help implement high quality of service, manage large volumes of data, and support complex enterprise information systems.
  • Prepare for and participate in review teams with Government personnel, other contractors and systems integrators for program strategies, integrated schedules, test plans, and deployment planning.
  • Review program, project, or initiative documentation for technical compliance with appropriate compliance action lists, policy, requirements, standards, and processes.
  • Perform the planning and execution of systems engineering technical management processes, technical planning, technical assessment, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management.
  • Plan and conduct reviews, assess contract status, and recommend resolution of technical issues.
  • Prepare well-written, detailed systems engineering documentation including analyses, white papers, presentations, etc.


Qualifications

  • The candidate MUST have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • Experience with Agile and/or DEVSECOPS work environment a plus
  • Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) experience a plus
  • Azure preferred certification
  • Must be capable of performing effectively individually and as part of a team
  • Must have effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
