Job Description

First Hawaiian Bank is seeking a System Analyst Officer to join our IT Infrastructure Department - Server.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 5:00 pm (hours may vary)

Compensation

The salary pay range for this role is $102,000 - $125,000/year; commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, implementing, enhancing, maintaining, and monitoring infrastructure systems/applications. Provides production support and assists in developing and executing strategic roadmaps with focus on server administration and management of associated infrastructure systems/applications (e.g. Physical Servers, Virtual Server Hosts/Storage, VMWare, Backup Systems). Systems/applications supported may also include but are not limited to email, virtual desktop infrastructure, network systems, cloud computing, backup systems and security systems. Leads and coordinates work amongst other IT Division resources. Assists management with strategic planning, budgeting, vendor, contract, project management and managing operations and compliance related activities. Mentor others on the Infrastructure Team to develop individual skills, knowledge and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or related, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience required.
  • Professional certifications in technology from vendors such as Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, and/or related, or equivalent work experience with technology from these vendors.
  • 7 years of experience in Information Technology field supporting and maintaining infrastructure/applications.
  • 5 years of experience with managing and supporting server/storage systems.
  • 2 or more years managing and leading technical projects.
    *Required experience may be obtained concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and troubleshoot complex server hardware and operating systems at an enterprise level
  • In-depth experience with systems administration and data management
  • Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure components, including hardware and security tools
  • In-depth experience with virtualization solutions
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with management and end-users
  • Advanced knowledge of information security and how it relates to management of infrastructure
  • Proficient with system monitoring tools such as WhatsUpGold or Solarwinds
  • Ability to implement process improvements through automation
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage Projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in providing either direct or indirect leadership to other technical team members through
  • coaching and mentoring
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead, inspire and motivate team members
  • Familiar with legal and technical issues involving vendor contract negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated initiative when identifying needs or issues
