Salary - $156,000.00/annual

Job Description:
The System Administrator shall support PED operations on shifts, as prescribed in individual
worksite guidelines, to ensure optimum HW/SW and network functionality.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support local and distant enterprise systems including, but not limited to, network storage, print services, and back-up services. Assist local and distant end personnel with maintaining security groups, systems, and user accounts in active directory.
  • Provide Tiers 1 - 3 support and troubleshooting for client system issues.
  • Assist local and distant end personnel with updating and patching operating systems and SW on servers to maintain Security Technical Implementation Guide and Security Content Automation Protocol security compliance.
  • Assist local and distant end personnel with technical solutions, security documentation and implementation plans for newly acquired systems.
  • Provide fault isolation and incident resolution support for local and distant networks and Information Assurance (IA) suites (firewalls, IDS) using Government provided network analysis tools and applications (e.g., Wireshark, Solar Winds, GEM-X, & TACACS).
  • Provide technical support in the configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and software maintenance of local and distant IA suites, routers, switches, servers, workstations, overall network and long-haul communication circuit support.

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
  • Must possess eight years' experience, respectively, in the applicable IT discipline (requirements may be reduced by two years for possessing four-year IT-related degrees from accredited universities)
  • 5 years' experience administering/maintaining Microsoft Windows Server, VMware versions 5.x/6.x (system administrators2 years' experience with MS SQL Server 2012/2014
  • 4 years' experience administering Internet Protocol networks

  • High School or Equivalent

Security Clearance Requirements:
  • TS/SCI

Physical, Work Environment & Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Occasional standing while working in server rooms or at patch panels.
  • Must be able to lift and move moderately heavy equipment (e.g., routers, switches, servers) typically up to 30-50 pounds.
  • Manual Dexterity required for connecting cables, configuring devices, and handling small tools or components.
  • Must be able to view computer screens for long periods.
  • Ability to distinguish color-coded cabling and indicator lights.
  • Must be able to climb ladders or crawl in tight spaces for cable runs or equipment installation.
  • May require walking between different buildings or workstations.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with technical teams and end-users.
  • May need to hear alarms, server beeps, or equipment noises indicating issues
