Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 1-3 years of hands-on IT experience; not suitable for entry-level candidates.
• Proven network troubleshooting skills with experience in Cisco and/or Juniper OS.
• Hands-on experience with VMware hypervisor platforms.
• Demonstrable troubleshooting skills for server hardware and NAS systems.
• Active Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily infrastructure stability and performance, focusing on Cisco, VMware, and NAS.
• Act as the first responder for hardware and platform-level incidents using methodical troubleshooting skills.
• Manage and troubleshoot network components, particularly Cisco and Juniper OS devices.
• Maintain the health of the hypervisor environment, collaborating with senior engineers for escalations.
• Contribute to administering hosted services with an emphasis on Kubernetes (k8s) infrastructure.
• Learn best practices from senior engineers while progressively taking on more responsibilities.
• Improve operational efficiency by automating common tasks through scripting.
