About the Role
TENAX Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator to support mission-critical Navy programs in the Washington, DC area. The selected candidate will administer, maintain, and secure enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and AWS cloud environments. This position supports critical systems and applications that enable Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) missions.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows, Linux, and UNIX-based servers and enterprise systems.
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, services, networking, and security.
- Monitor system performance, perform troubleshooting, and resolve server, storage, network, and application issues.
- Implement security patches, system hardening, and DISA STIG compliance.
- Support system modernization, migrations, upgrades, and cloud initiatives.
- Ensure system availability, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation and support operational and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
- Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or IAT Level III certification (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CND, GSEC, CISSP, CASP+/SecurityX, GCIH, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience administering enterprise systems and networks.
- Experience supporting Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar) and Windows environments.
- Experience administering and supporting AWS cloud environments.
- Experience with system monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and performance tuning.
- Experience implementing DISA STIGs and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, networks, storage, and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of Systems Administration and/or Network Administration experience.
- AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or equivalent).
- Linux certification (RHCSA, RHCE, Linux+, or equivalent).
- CCNP or equivalent networking certification.
- Experience supporting DoD, Navy, Intelligence Community, or Federal Government environments.
- Knowledge of virtualization, enterprise storage, backup and recovery solutions, and hybrid cloud architectures.
