Description & Requirements

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team in Denver, Colorado

In this role, you will manage IT system infrastructure and day-to-day operations, including the monitoring and resolution of issues across clients, server, storage, and network devices. You will provide Tier I and Tier II support to diagnose and resolve technical problems while effectively communicating status and escalations to management. Additionally, you will configure LINUX or Windows operating systems, manage network components, and implement system enhancements to optimize reliability and performance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage Linux and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install/loads operating system software, troubleshoot
  • Maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' experience as a systems administrator
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline; an additional 5 years of system administrator experience might be substituted for a degree
  • Experience with RedHat Linux and Windows
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting OS implementations and interfacing connections


Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS


Clearance Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly


Physical Requirements:
  • Needs to be able to provide hardware transferring support
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may
    involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in
    these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
