System Administrator for Linux
Candidate must have or be able to obtain an ADP I or ADP II clearance
Come join a growing and dynamic company supporting a large, contract! DCCA is looking to find an Operating System (OS) Administrator for Linux (Windows experience helpful). The candidate will be a self-starter able to install and configure the OS, resolve team issues via internal help desk tickets.
Required Skills:
• Five (5) years of experience as an OS SA, preferably in an AWS Cloud environment.
• Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience with LINUX environments
• Must have a minimum of 3+ years providing operations support.
• Ability to work with 3rd party hosting team preferably Cloud Service Provider.
• Ability to configure Linux servers from scratch, including disk layout and partitioning, operating system installation, and package configuration.
• Demonstrated ability in network troubleshooting, basic understanding of network concepts.
• Demonstrated ability in preparing and editing technical documentation.
• Ability to automate day to day operations through the use of bash, perl, or python scripting.
• Expereince with adhering to and implementing OS Secuity and STIG requirements
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Must be able to interact effectively with customer, developers and end-users
Candidates MUST be a US Citizen, willing to obtain an ADP I or ADP II clearance, and ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 6 months of hire date.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Ten (10) years of experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Desired Skills/Experience:
• Windows SA experience.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or other automation tools.
• Experience developing processes and procedures, working with AWS, SELinux
• Experience in AWS environment working with EC2 instances.
• Experience with managing OS backups and restores, OS patching etc.
• Experience in working with Security aspects of Architecture and Operating Systems
The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 125,000 to 140,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
