Description:

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a System Administrator 2 to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems across enterprise environments. This role focuses on system stability, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable performance across a variety of technologies supporting mission operations.

The ideal candidate will take on more advanced troubleshooting responsibilities while supporting system infrastructure, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining performance across servers, networks, and end-user environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems
  • Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Manage day-to-day system operations, including monitoring, maintenance, and updates
  • Support infrastructure across servers, storage, network devices, and mobile systems
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain system software and components
  • Support escalation activities and provide detailed analysis for issue resolution
  • Communicate system status and issue resolution to stakeholders and internal teams
  • Assist users with accessing and utilizing IT systems
  • Optimize system performance and support capacity planning efforts


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
    • Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Administrator in similar environments
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
