Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Lead to join the SWIFT & Payments Technology team. This role will provide technical leadership for critical payment infrastructure supporting SWIFT messaging, cross border payments, ISO 20022 initiatives, cloud transformation, and platform resiliency programs. The successful candidate will partner with architecture, engineering, operations, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable payment solutions.

This position can be based near any CGI office within the EST or CST time zones, with a hybrid work model available.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Lead design, development, and implementation of payments technology solutions.
. Drive architecture reviews and technical decision making for strategic initiatives.
. Provide technical leadership for SWIFT, ISO 20022, payment messaging, and integration platforms.
. Partner with infrastructure, network, cloud, security, and application teams to improve platform resiliency and availability.
. Lead incident analysis, root cause investigations, and remediation efforts for critical production issues.
. Oversee delivery of technical projects, ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards.
. Mentor engineers and developers while promoting engineering best practices.
. Coordinate with vendors and external partners to resolve technical challenges and support platform modernization.
. Support audit, regulatory, and operational risk management activities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 12+ years of technology experience with at least 3 5 years in a technical leadership role.
. Experience supporting payments, SWIFT, ISO 20022, or financial messaging platforms.
. Cloud platform experience (Azure preferred).
. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, site reliability engineering, and observability tools.
. Financial services industry experience strongly preferred.
. Willing to learn and support Swift network interface software applications including Linux, cloud hosted and Legacy Tandem applications.
. Strong experience in payments, SWIFT messaging, and financial services technology.
. Deep understanding of distributed systems, middleware, messaging platforms (Kafka, MQ, APIs), and cloud technologies.
. Proven ability to lead large scale technology transformations and modernization initiatives.
. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in complex production environments.
. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
. Ability to influence cross functional teams and drive outcomes across global organizations.
. Experience with operational resilience, disaster recovery, and high availability architectures.
. Knowledge of Swift business is a plus.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $102,000.00 $238,100.00.
