A Day in the Life

The SVP Strategic Initiatives & Business Operations (SVP) serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), providing executive leadership over enterprise strategy execution, business operations, organizational transformation, and cross-functional initiatives. This role is responsible for translating executive priorities into scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and measurable business outcomes that drive organizational performance and long-term growth.

Working across all business functions, the SVP partners with executive leadership to strengthen organizational alignment, improve execution discipline, and enhance operational effectiveness by establishing the processes, governance, and infrastructure necessary to support a rapidly evolving enterprise. The role leads complex, enterprise-wide initiatives that improve business performance, remove organizational barriers, and enable sustainable growth.

The SVP provides executive oversight of the Business Project Management Office (PMO) and partners closely with leaders across Technology, Product, Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Customer Experience, Insurance, and other business functions to ensure strategic initiatives remain aligned with organizational priorities and are executed effectively.

Serving as an extension of the COO, this position expands executive leadership capacity by representing the COO in strategic initiatives, driving enterprise-wide collaboration, supporting executive decision-making, and ensuring operational continuity as the organization continues to scale. Some travel, including overnight travel, will be required.

What You'll Be Doing

Enterprise Strategy & Organizational Execution
  • Partner with the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Leadership Team to drive execution of enterprise strategic priorities.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and business performance.
  • Translate executive strategy into scalable operational plans with clear accountability, governance, and measurable outcomes.
  • Remove organizational barriers that impede execution, improve decision-making, and accelerate enterprise performance.


Business Operations & Organizational Scale
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable operating models that support organizational growth and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead enterprise operational improvement initiatives focused on governance, process maturity, organizational effectiveness, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with business leaders to standardize workflows, improve decision-making processes, and strengthen operational consistency across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to centralize, simplify, and optimize shared business services and enterprise support functions.
  • Evaluate organizational capacity and recommend structural improvements that support future growth.


Shared Services & Enterprise Growth
  • Lead implementation and ongoing evolution of the India Global Capability Center (GCC) strategy and other shared service initiatives.
  • Develop enterprise operating rhythms, governance structures, performance management practices, and service delivery models that enable scalable growth.
  • Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Marketing, Customer Experience, and business leaders to strengthen enterprise capabilities and improve organizational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage shared services and enterprise resources across lending, insurance, and future business lines.


Strategic Portfolio Leadership
  • Provide executive oversight of the Business Project Management Office, ensuring enterprise initiatives remain aligned with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with the VP, Strategic Initiatives & PMO to establish portfolio governance, prioritization frameworks, executive reporting, and project accountability.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Value Management Office (VMO) to align business priorities, technology delivery, enterprise resource planning, and organizational capacity.
  • Monitor enterprise initiative health, resource allocation, dependencies, risks, and execution progress while ensuring leadership visibility into strategic initiatives.


Business Growth & Enterprise Transformation
  • Partner with executive leadership to support expansion of new business lines, including Insurance and future strategic growth initiatives.
  • Develop governance models, operating structures, and performance frameworks that enable sustainable organizational growth.
  • Lead organizational readiness activities supporting major enterprise initiatives and transformational change.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic transformation initiatives as needed.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organizational agility and operational scalability.


Executive Partnership & Decision Support
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the COO on enterprise priorities, organizational effectiveness, and business operations.
  • Prepare executive presentations, Board materials, strategic analyses, business cases, and organizational recommendations that support executive decision-making.
  • Lead executive-level special projects requiring significant cross-functional coordination and organizational influence.
  • Represent the COO in executive meetings, steering committees, governance forums, and operational reviews as appropriate.
  • Identify emerging organizational risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to improve enterprise execution and long-term performance.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, Organizational Leadership, Finance, or a related field required; Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred.
  • Eight (8) or more years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, strategic planning, management consulting, operational excellence, project management, or organizational transformation.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong understanding of organizational governance, business operations, process improvement, and change management methodologies.
  • Experience developing executive reporting, dashboards, KPIs, OKRs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with project portfolio management tools preferred.
  • Experience within financial services, lending, insurance, fintech, or consulting environments is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.


Compensation Range

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 - $220,000 annually.

Physical Requirements

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
