Full Job Description
As SVP of Global Field Engineering, you will lead a global organization at one of the most consequential moments in the history of banking technology - serving a mission-critical role in driving nCino's path to becoming the undisputed leader in Agentic banking. nCino is redefining what's possible for financial institutions - enabling bankers and their agentic partners to transform client experiences across Account Opening, Onboarding, Loan Origination and Portfolio Management. This role sits at the center of that story, responsible for translating nCino's innovation into experiences, guidance and outcomes that demonstrate to clients and partners not just what the platform does - but what their future looks like.

Global Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing global Field Engineering organization comprised of Pre-sales Product Specialists and Solution Architects.

  • Cultivate a Field Engineering organization renowned for its deep banking domain expertise and technical depth while accelerating its AI fluency - earning the credibility to serve as trusted advisors who guide clients toward their future.


  • Demonstrate command of regulatory environments and how they shape banking operations and risk mitigation globally.


  • Own and guide global demo environment, POC tooling and associated strategy.


Scale, Process & Operational Excellence

  • Build and standardize global standards, enablement systems, discovery methodologies, coverage models, and engagement frameworks across NA, EMEA, and APAC.


  • Establish clear metrics for Field Engineering effectiveness.


  • Champion the use of AI and agentic workflows within the Field Engineering motion itself, making nCino's own team a proof point of the "dual workforce" in action (humans + agents).


  • Partner with Sales Operations to continuously instrument and improve the pre-sales process, new hire onboarding and team enablement.


Cross-Functional Leadership & Strategic Alignment

  • Provide strategic leadership that shapes and executes a Field Engineering strategy that supports nCino's growth objectives, in close partnership with Regional GMs, Sales, Product & Engineering, Customer Success, Partnerships, Professional Services/FDE and Marketing.


  • Serve as a cultural bridge between engineering instinct and sales urgency.


  • Ensure nCino's global Sales, Field Engineering, and Client Success teams operate in an aligned and efficient manner, with clear handoffs and a seamless client experience across every stage of the journey.


  • Extend an already tight partnership with nCino's Product and Engineering teams, ensuring the roadmap and innovation agenda are directly informed by what Field Engineering sees and hears in the field.


  • Align with our Partnerships team to guide our strategy to support partnerships spanning GSIs, SIs, Frontier Models, Hyperscalers, Marketplaces and Technology partners.

What We Look For

  • Undergraduate degree and 16+ years of professional experience in enterprise and mid-market software, including 6+ years leading global Field Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Pre-sales organizations at scale, with concentrated focus on Financial Services.


  • Strong technical competence and AI fluency, with deep banking domain expertise - this leader will be expected to develop strong credibility across commercial, small business and consumer loan origination, onboarding, account opening, and portfolio management.


  • Leads from the front, setting the example by getting close to where the work happens.


  • Proven track record building and scaling technical pre-sales teams across multiple geographies, including EMEA and APAC.


  • Deep expertise in outcome-based selling and executive-level engagement strategy - knows what it takes to win complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise and mid-market deals.


  • Strong command of AI and modern cloud platform narratives; ability to translate technical capability into compelling business value for financial services buyers.


  • Experience partnering with a CRO and cross-functional C-suite to align Field Engineering strategy with broader revenue goals.


  • Equally credible with a bank's Line of Business Leaders, Chief Lending Officer, Compliance/MLRO's, and CIO/CTO.
