The Opportunity - Build the Future with Us

As a Sustainable Infrastructure Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how infrastructure projects across Quebec (and nationally) respond to the realities of climate change, resilience, and sustainable development. This is a senior, client-facing technical leadership role for a professional who is passionate about translating sustainability vision into practical, verifiable outcomes.

Working closely with public- and private-sector clients, multidisciplinary project teams, and national sustainability leaders, you will guide the application of the Envision framework across the full infrastructure lifecycle - from early planning and stakeholder engagement through design, construction, and long-term operations. Based ideally in Montreal, you will support projects within Quebec while contributing to the growth and consistency of Envision services across Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to influence decision-making on high-impact infrastructure projects, mentor emerging sustainability professionals, and help WSP continue to lead the market in sustainable infrastructure delivery.

Your Impact
  • Lead Envision technical delivery on complex infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and WSP quality standards
  • Guide project teams in applying the Envision framework across planning, design, construction, and operations
  • Integrate sustainability strategies addressing climate resilience, carbon, energy, water, materials, and quality of life outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed sustainability into infrastructure decision-making
  • Mentor and train project teams, strengthening Envision capability across Quebec and nationally
  • Support proposal development, client relationships, and business growth initiatives
  • Provide technical review and oversight to ensure high-quality, verification-ready documentation
  • Where required, oversee project financials, schedules, and resourcing to support successful delivery

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 6-10 years of experience providing technical leadership in sustainable infrastructure and buildings
  • Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field
  • Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential in good standing; Envision Verifier is an asset
  • Demonstrated expertise delivering Envision projects across Quality of Life, Leadership, Resource Allocation, Natural World, and Climate & Resilience
  • Strong understanding of Envision levels of achievement, baselining, documentation, and verification pathways
  • Experience preparing sustainability assessments, feasibility studies, and cost-informed recommendations
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients, stakeholders, and project teams
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English
