Sustainability & Continuous Improvement Engineer
Permanent

The primary responsibility of this position is to focus on leading the sustainability initiative at the site level to ensure we achieve the goals set forth by HPM Global. In addition to sustainability topics, this person will also be responsible for assisting other departments with continuous improvement effects.

  • Lead and manage engineering projects with a strong focus on sustainability, ensuring all initiatives support the company's commitment to reducing environmental impact.
  • Develop and implement project plans that incorporate sustainability principles, emphasizing energy efficiency and resource conservation.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability-related key performance indicators (KPIs) at both machine and plant levels. This includes tracking energy consumption, identifying energy savings potential, and reporting on the environmental impact.
  • Analyze the energy savings potential of planned engineering measures within the project scope. Develop strategies to maximize energy efficiency and resource optimization.
  • Oversee the collection of data on realized energy savings and environmental impacts from completed projects. Utilize this data to report on project success and inform future projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into all facets of project planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and practices in sustainability and incorporate meaningful innovations into project plans.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on sustainability practices and outcomes as a reference for stakeholders and as guidance for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of sustainability within the company, inspiring others to integrate eco-friendly practices into their work areas.
  • Assists Operations with annual inventory as needed.
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Must report to work as scheduled and have open communication with HRBP when a change is needed.
  • Adherence to Code of Conduct as applicable to job function: CoC Guideline No. 1: Guideline for the Procurement of Products and Services, No. 2: Guideline for the Prevention of Bribery in Commercial Transactions, No. 3: Guideline for the Acceptance of Precious Metals and No. 4: Guideline for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Participation in Criminal Acts.
