5+ years of experience in Land Surveying with a focus on Construction Staking.
Preferred certification as PLS, SIT, or an interest in obtaining it.
Drone Pilot License is a plus.
Strong computer skills with required proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
Experience with MicroStation is a plus.
Prior background in civil engineering projects is preferred.

Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard surveying techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
Processing design plans to staking files for field crews including review of the accuracy and constructability of the design prior to staking
Conduct and oversee infrastructure and utility staking: ensuring proper site layout, control, and adherence to plans.
Manage a field crew to perform surveying and staking projects
Plan, schedules conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of the surveying work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope
Perform work that involves conventional surveying practice but may include a variety of complex features
Direct conversations with clients at beginning, during, and end of projects
Capable of supervising or coordinating the work of surveyors, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments
Ability to process and prepare drawings
Coordination with other BGE departments internally and externally to operate as One Team
Job Requirements:
