SUMMARY
Join our team as a Party Chief, where your expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our projects while fostering a collaborative work environment. Kier + Wright is signatory to the Operating Engineers Local 3. If ability to self qualify is not available, candidate may be required to enroll and complete apprenticeship program. RESPONSIBLITIES
• Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment such as GPS, 3D scanners, and total stations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed survey records, including notes, sketches, and reports.
• CAD experience is a plus (not required)
• Collaborate with engineers and project surveyors to discuss project requirements and timelines.
• Train junior staff on surveying techniques and equipment operation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during all surveying activities.
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE
• Experience in land surveying with an understanding of surveying principles.
• Proficiency in software such as Trimble Access, Civil 3D is a plus, and Microsoft for data collection, staking, drafting, and data downloads/analysis.
• Experience with 3D scanning technology is preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work performed.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record is required for travel to job sites.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR WORKING CONDITIONS
• Prolonged periods of standing, & walking
• Interacting with technology (computer, cellphone, etc.)
• Ability to lift and/or carry items up to 75 lbs.
• Driving or flying - to offices, jobsites, client meetings, etc.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
