Full Job Description
En tant que Surintendant, vous devrez :
  • Assurer la gestion globale de la construction, y compris la conception, le budget et le calendrier, en collaboration avec le chef de projet, les maîtres de l'ouvrage, les ingénieurs et les architectes, afin de garantir que le projet est livré dans les délais et dans le respect du budget pour les grands projets complexes.
  • Diriger les réunions de projet avec les parties internes et externes pour suivre et soutenir la progression continue de l'équipe.
  • Assurer la conformité de la construction aux exigences de la conception et au calendrier de construction du projet en supervisant et en coordonnant les corps de métiers du chantier, les autres gestionnaires du chantier, l'ingénierie sur le terrain et les activités de construction.
  • Assurer la mise en œuvre du programme de sécurité d'EllisDon afin de créer et de maintenir un environnement de travail sécuritaire sur le chantier et adhérer aux exigences en matière de sécurité et de tenue de registres.
  • Encadrer les membres de l'équipe de projet pour assurer la croissance et le développement de leur carrière.


Est-ce le bon rôle pour vous ?
  • Vous avez un diplôme lié à la construction et 6 à 8 ans d'expérience en construction ou une combinaison équivalente de formation technique et d'expérience de travail sur de grands projets commerciaux (P3, résidentiel, commercial, institutionnel, mission critique, vente au détail et transport en commun ou soins de santé).
  • Vous avez une connaissance avancée des diverses disciplines de la construction, des règles de sécurité, de l'ordonnancement, du contrôle des coûts, du contrôle de la qualité et des dessins techniques.
  • Vous êtes capable d'identifier rapidement les situations problématiques, d'évaluer les causes alternatives, de produire des solutions viables et menez une grande équipe vers le succès.
  • Vous aimez travailler dans un environnement d'équipe et fournir un encadrement et des conseils à l'équipe du site.
  • Bilingue (français et anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit)
  • Admissible à l'obtention d'une autorisation de sécurité de niveau " Secret " auprès du gouvernement du Canada.


As a Superintendent, you will:
  • Manage the overall construction process, including design, budget, and schedule, working with the project manager, owners, engineers, and architects to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget for large, complex projects.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to track and support the team's ongoing progress.
  • Ensure construction complies with design requirements and the project construction schedule by supervising and coordinating trades on site, other site managers, field engineering, and construction activities.
  • Implement the EllisDon safety program to create and maintain a safe work environment on site and adhere to safety and record-keeping requirements.
  • Guide the project team members to support the growth and development of their careers.

Is this role right for you?
  • You have a degree related to construction and 6 to 8 years of construction experience, or an equivalent mix of technical training and hands-on work experience on large commercial projects (P3, residential, commercial, institutional, mission-critical, retail, public transit, or healthcare).
  • You have advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety rules, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and technical drawings.
  • You are able to quickly identify problematic situations, assess alternative causes, come up with viable solutions, and lead a large team to success.
  • You enjoy working in a team environment and providing guidance and advice to the site team.
  • Bilingual (French and English, both oral and written)
  • Eligible for a "Secret" security clearance from the Government of Canada.
