The UW Medical Center-Northwest Outpatient Surgery Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Surgical Technologist.

WORK SCHEDULE
• Full-Time / 40 Hours per week
• Day Shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Be responsible for facilitating assigned surgical procedures through the assembly of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies
• This position functions competently and independently within multiple specialty areas
• Competitive candidates will have certification as scrub technologist and/or six months of experience as an Operating Room Technician in a hospital operating room or childbirth center

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take the lead in the patient care experience by prepping and maintaining our Operating Rooms for surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and partners, from our scheduling team to surgeons
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, problem-solving environment while maintaining vigilance of instruments and supplies used during surgical procedures
  • Perform scrub role while supporting patient safety a sterile environment
  • Support of post-operative tasks, including removal of contaminated instruments, decontamination, sterilization and turnover of the Operating Room


REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of a Surgical Technologist program AND one year of experience assisting clinical staff in a variety of operative procedures in an operating room environment.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:
$35.47 hourly
Pay Range Maximum:
$51.59 hourly
Other Compensation:
Certification Premium - $1.25/hour
