Responsibilities

  • Perform surgical tech duties during 8-hour day shifts over a 13-week assignment
  • Assist with all types of surgical procedures as no specialized teams exist
  • Support pre-op, post-op, and trauma cases in the ER when needed
  • Collaborate with the charge nurse to facilitate assignment distribution
  • Participate in weekly night call, with weekend and rotating holiday call requirements
  • Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation

Must-Have: Must have 3's in neuro and crani experience and be strong in all service areas

Description:
Staff must be well versed on all surgical procedures since there are no specialized teams for each service line.
Charge nurse will be present on each shift and will take an assignment.
All staff are scheduled 5 days a week.
There is a requirement for call one night a week.
Weekend call is needed every 5th or 6th weekend.
Rotating holiday call is part of the position.
Floating may be required to pre/post op and ER for trauma cases.
Scrub color/dress code will be provided.
Core staff have a lot of longevity in the department.
The camaraderie and teamwork are exceptional, and commitment to safety is a priority.
Flexibility to a varied daily surgical schedule is essential for success in this department.
Teamwork and a willingness to share experiences and educate others are highly valued.
RTO must be provided upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract).
Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions.
Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.
Charting system used is EPIC.
