  • Operational Oversight: Supervise daily operating room (OR) activities and oversee processes to ensure the efficient, effective, and safe delivery of health services.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with physicians, leadership, and staff to streamline operations and resource utilization, while managing the hiring, training, and professional development of team members.
  • Clinical Quality & Communication: Maintain clinical competency to support direct patient care while facilitating clear communication between the OR and other units to proactively resolve delivery issues.


What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


One or more of the following required:

  • Certified Registered Nurse specializing in First Assistant credentialed from the National Assistant at Surgery Certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Associates who hired/transferred before 04/30/2018 are not required to hold certification.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Per Tennessee Code (TCA) 68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have 18 months of surgical technologist experience in the 3 year
    preceding 5/21/07; or began the appropriate surgical technologist training prior to 5/21/07 and completed by 5/21/10.


Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
