Full Job Description
Full Time Surgical Physician Assistant Opening in Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City) Danbury Hospital, now part of Northwell Health, is seeking a full time Surgical Physician Assistant to join our established and growing Surgical Advanced Practitioner Services program in Danbury, Connecticut, located about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. Our busy service of 12 full-time Advanced Practitioners currently provides services to all surgical patients admitted to the hospital, as well as in Observation, Extended stay, Emergency room, and Operating room, including consults as well as pre and post-operative care. Specialties include, but are not limited to, Urology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgical/Spine, Plastics, and ENT. As we grow the program, we will be evolving to a 24/7 service that includes some OR assist. This position follows a rotating schedule including days, weekends, holidays, and minimal overnight coverage. The ideal candidate will be a board certified physician assistant with previous surgical and/or patient management experience and/or surgical residency training and/or Da Vinci robotics training , though new graduates will be considered. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. We offer a competitive compensation package, including allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses.
