Surgery Center Administrator

The Surgery Center Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, financial management, regulatory compliance, and physician partnership development of the ambulatory surgery center.
This role is ideal for an experienced ASC leader or hospital surgical leader with ASC exposure who brings strong financial acumen and operational leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations including administrative, clinical support, and business functions
  • Serve as liaison between Governing Board, Medical Staff, facility leadership, and USPI Home Office
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation (AAAHC preferred), quality, and safety standards
  • Develop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgets
  • Monitor financial performance and manage P&L accountability
  • Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and performance management
  • Maintain strong physician relationships and oversee credentialing processes
  • Manage vendor and physician contracts
  • Support infection control, quality improvement, and patient experience initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to grow surgical volume and increase revenue
  • Participate in operational reviews and facility reporting
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of senior healthcare administrative experience
  • ASC leadership experience OR hospital surgical leadership experience with ASC exposure
  • Experience managing full budgets and P&L
  • Experience working closely with physicians and clinical leadership
