Full Job Description
Supply Technician to support Picatinny Arsenal, LRC Maintenance, Supply, and Transportation services that support the installation's mission. Salary: $ 40.03 per hour Start Date: August 30, 2026 Place of Performance: Picatinny, NJ Hours of Operation: The core hours for the LRC are [redacted] Monday-Friday/ except federal holidays. May be required to work outside of core hours as required. Duties and Responsibilities: This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work is usually segregated by commodity area or function and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 3 Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work such as inventory management and storage. 3 Management, cataloging, and property utilization-related supply activities. 3 Complies with established policies and procedures to support the program. 3 Maintains cleanliness of the work center in accordance with Government/Company policies and instructions. 3 Performs extensive research in different catalogs to obtain stock numbers. 3 Processes, codes, and validates physical inventory counts and maintains inventory records. 3 Investigates variations between recorded balances and physical counts. 3 Picks, Stows, and Research. 3 Research, receipt line. 3 Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written. 3 Moderate Computer skills - using Microsoft Office. 3 Possess good working knowledge of process improvement processes and methodology. 3 Responsible for issue tracking, ensuring all records are up to date according to policy. Qualifications: 3 A minimum of three years of experience. 3 Must be well-versed in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. These programs will be used for communicating, modifying, and tracking information. 3 Must be cleared for a Common Access Card. 3 Must possess a valid driver's license. 3 Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Minimum Qualifications: 3 Be a citizen of the U.S. 3 Possess the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. 3 Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. 3 Possess knowledge and ability to perform simple arithmetic. 3 Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 3 Possess excellent ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines. 3 Possess the ability to work with minimal Government oversight.
